My name is Ingrid, I’m 20 years old, and I’m from the Philippines. I’m so happy to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you!

I would describe myself as a caring, patient, responsible, and cheerful person who loves learning new things and exploring different cultures. I enjoy cooking and baking, trying new recipes, learning languages, and discovering new places. I also love animals, especially dogs, and I have three dogs of my own!

Caring for children has been a part of my life since I was young. After my father passed away, I often looked after my younger brother whenever my mother was away for work. With our seven-year age gap, I naturally became someone he could depend on. My aunties also trusted me to care for their children, and there were even times when I looked after three toddlers at once.

For the past two years, I’ve also helped care for my boyfriend’s three younger brothers, assisting with their meals, schoolwork, activities, and everyday needs. More recently, I’ve spent the past six months caring for three children whose parents are often away for work. My responsibilities include helping them get ready for school, preparing their meals, bringing them to and from school, assisting with school activities, and helping with household routines. These experiences have taught me to be patient, attentive, organized, and understanding of children of different ages and personalities.

I think my love for children grew naturally through these experiences. I enjoy being part of their everyday lives, listening to their stories, helping them learn something new, and sharing little moments that make them happy. For me, caring for children is not just about making sure they are safe and looked after, but also about helping them feel comfortable, loved, and supported as they grow.

Outside of childcare, one of my favorite things to do is cook and bake. I love experimenting with ingredients, trying new recipes, and sometimes creating my own. It would make me happy to share some of my favorite Filipino dishes with your family, learn your traditional recipes, or even bake something fun with the children! I’m also currently learning German and Korean because I love discovering new languages and finding ways to connect with people from different cultures.

I want to become an au pair because I would love to combine my love for caring, learning, and exploring. I’m excited to experience life in another country, learn about a new culture, and share my own. More than just visiting a new place, I hope to become part of a family’s everyday life, build a genuine connection with the children and parents, and create wonderful memories together.

I understand that every family has its own routines and expectations, and I’m willing to learn, adapt, and grow through this experience. I hope to be someone your children can feel comfortable with and someone you can trust and rely on.
