My name is Keisha Septia, but you can call me Keisha. I am 22 years old and come from Indonesia. I am very happy to introduce myself to you, and thank you for taking the time to read my message!

I have always enjoyed spending time with children. I love their curiosity, their funny little stories, and the happiness they bring to everyday life. For me, being an au pair is not only an opportunity to live in another country, but also a chance to build a meaningful connection with a family, learn about a new culture, and grow as a person.

**My childcare experience**

Since July 2024, I have been helping my neighbours care for their children while their parents are at work. My responsibilities include preparing meals, helping with homework, taking the children to school or their activities, playing with them, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I also enjoy spending time with my younger cousins and helping children with their studies.

Through these experiences, I have learned that every child has a different personality and needs their own kind of attention. I believe that caring for children means more than simply watching them. It means listening to them, encouraging them to learn, helping them when they feel frustrated, and making them feel loved and understood.

I may not have official au pair experience yet, but I am willing to learn, listen to your expectations, and do my best to support your family.

**A little about my personality**

I would describe myself as cheerful, friendly, patient, honest, responsible, and hardworking. I enjoy making people smile and creating a positive atmosphere around me. I am also someone who takes responsibilities seriously and understands the importance of trust, especially when caring for children.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, baking, swimming, cycling, singing, and dancing. I currently work as a kitchen staff member at a café on weekends, which has helped me become more disciplined and familiar with preparing food. I would love to share some Indonesian dishes with your family and perhaps learn your favourite family recipes, too! ??

**My culture and language journey**

I come from Indonesia, a country with beautiful traditions, delicious food, and diverse cultures. I would be happy to share a little about my home country while learning about yours. I believe cultural exchange is a wonderful way to understand different perspectives and create memories that stay with us for a long time.

I have a Goethe German A1 certificate and am continuing to improve my German. I am also learning English and working to become more confident in communicating. I know that learning a language takes time, but I am motivated and excited to improve through everyday conversations and new experiences.

**What I hope to find in a host family**

I hope to meet a warm, respectful, and welcoming family who sees an au pair as more than just someone who helps with childcare. I would love to become a trusted person in your children's lives, someone who can play with them, help them learn, support their daily routines, and share happy moments with them.

I also understand that every family has its own routines and expectations. I am happy to communicate openly, learn how your household works, and find a good balance together. For me, mutual respect, honesty, and communication are important for making this experience wonderful for everyone.

I am excited about the little things, too: preparing breakfast together, reading bedtime stories, going for walks, helping with creative activities, learning new recipes, and discovering the traditions that make your family special.
